Big Sky Resort Terrain & Trial Variety
With 5,850 acres of skiable terrain spread across four interconnected mountains, Big Sky Resort is one of the largest ski destinations in North America. Guests can explore 300 named trails dropping over 4,350 vertical feet from the 11,166-foot summit of Lone Peak, one of the longest continuous vertical descents in the country, with terrain that ranges from wide, easy groomers to some of the most demanding lines in the Rockies.
Beginners will find gentle, well-groomed learning terrain around Mountain Village and Lone Moose, away from the faster traffic higher up the mountain. Intermediate skiers and riders can spend days cruising long, rolling runs on Andesite Mountain and the lower slopes of Lone Mountain, while multiple terrain parks offer progression for every ability. Advanced and expert visitors can head into the steep faces, open bowls, chutes, and couloirs that have made Big Sky famous, much of it above treeline.
