Jackson Hole is known for big-mountain skiing, with 2,500 acres of in-bounds terrain and a massive 4,139-foot vertical drop. More than half of the mountain is classified as advanced or expert terrain, while an average of approximately 458 inches of annual snowfall helps create the steep, powder-filled experience that has made Jackson Hole a destination for serious skiers and riders from around the world.

Located on the western slope of the Tetons, Grand Targhee receives more than 500 inches of snow in an average year. The resort offers 2,602 acres of terrain and 2,270 vertical feet, with everything from wide-open groomers and glades to advanced and expert terrain across Fred’s Mountain and Peaked Mountain. 

Targhee’s combination of abundant snowfall, varied terrain, Teton views, and laid-back western character makes it a natural complement to Jackson Hole. At the center of it all is the 11,166-foot Lone Peak, one of the most recognizable summits in American skiing.
